We have been in DC this weekend and we had sat down on a bench to rest after a long day with a pack of animals, (human animals).
We realized as we heard them coming down the mall, that we had better hurry up and get across.
My daughter asked why and if people do this all the time. She was here in February for a SA event and saw another rally (not sure what for).
They had a stage set up at the east end of the mall and were giving speeches after the march.
The crowds in DC this weekend are larger than I ever remember, either people are starting to travel again or they all realized the museums are free.

It was a big crowd. The march stretched for a long way. You can see it in a couple clips of the video where the end of the line of people is way, way back. This is not going away. I will have a video up tomorrow of an Persian band called Dariush.

3. Event this Thursday in DC and everywhere! |
|
This Thursday is the 40th day since Neda Agha Solton was tragically murdered by what many Iranians are calling the "agents of darkness", the Iranian secret police. Check for events in a major city near you.
If anyone is in DC this Thursday, there will be a candlelight vigil for Neda. I am trying to affirm the exact location, and will post back later on today.
