I mean, I know we saw some of this during the campaigns, but even I didn't think they'd be THIS blatant about it.

You know who Glenn Beck is?

Picture a lily white, upper-crust suburb of New York City, where the paid professional class of commuters live. Stock brokers, hedge fund managers, corporate executives, and the like. Maybe a celebrity or two, but they spend most of their time in the city or otherwise out of town. The places where the children of the post-war nouveau riche, who want all the benefits of proximity to a major urban nexus but without all the poor and/or brown people who would ordinarily muck up the view from a penthouse balcony, have congregated. The places where fundraisers for Peter King and Scott Garret are normally held. They aren't gated communities, but the zoning and school boards have ensured that no "undesirable" element will ever get a foothold. In these little enclaves, the homes look mostly the same. Two or three car garages. Underused or non-existent mass transit, because everyone drives. Maybe a spur line on the LIRR, Metro North, or NJ Transit. Large and neatly mowed lawns, tended to weekly by professionals. Fairly uniform architecture. Well funded police department, so very little crime. The last bastions of white flight.

There is, however, at least one house in this neighborhood that stands apart. The property is enclosed by a solid stone or concrete wall, ten or twelve feet high, with only one driveway entrance or exit. Security cameras dotting both the perimeter and the entrances to the house itself, and remote video access from a central room. Motion sensors connected to ear-piercing alarms. A panic room that the owner may escape to when he or she feels his life is in danger from an intruder, even though this neighborhood has an extremely low rate of home invasions. The kind of security system that isn't offered by ADT or Brinks, because no matter how completely segregated, privileged, and elitist this neighborhood is, the resident of this home is so thoroughly convinced that the world is out to take everything away from them that even the most ludicrous expense is justified.

Glenn Beck is the guy who lives in that house.

And we have the ability to watch that guy, in all his paranoid, delusional, stupid glory, on TV.

Last week on his radio show, he started off the subject of reparations, i.e. payment to the decendants of slaves. And he went on and on about how ridiculous it was, and how no other groups except blacks have ever demanded reparations.

He then had a quote from President Obama where the President said he was opposed to direct reparations because it was logistically impossible. So at this point, both Beck and President Obama.

So it seems like Beck and Obama were in agreement, right? Wrong. Beck goes on to slam Obama, because in his mind, his health care plan was "back door repirations." He started to throw out these BS lines about how "This means blacks must get sicker than whites" and "blacks must need medicine more than white people do." Which, if Batshit were smart enough to read the statistics, is actually true; health problems disproportionately affect minorities with no access to health care. But he was appealling to the very worst, most racist elements of his audience, and for what? To oppose health care.

If that's not truly racist, I don't know what is. This man is a hypocrite of the highest decree, and pure piece of shit.
