3. Obama's America's second black president. |

You'd think even Republicans would have gotten used to it after eight years with Bill Clinton.

10. I say it's time to fight back. |
|
I say it's time to fight back. The burden of proof rests on them. The Democrat party has been playing defensive posturing with these morons long enough. Constantly rebutting the claims, constantly defending the Presidents position. I say it's time to start fighting back by making these assholes prove their claims. A basically filibuster proof Senate, Democratic majority's across the board. It's time to start getting very aggressive and in your face with the guys. We need to start pressuring the GOP to come up with real ideas and solutions to real American issues and quit towing this god damn racism accusation and birther bullshit. Obama does not need to prove he is an American, the birther's need to prove he is not. A conspiracy alone does not make any sort of proof, throw the burden on them. Same thing with the racism. One of the morons on my local message board tried starting that stupid Revrend Wright line again. Something about how Obama's Rev Wright teachings are beginning to show I didn't even rebut him, I simply said. Sure, go ahead and build up more racial tensions and bring up THAT stupid conspiracy again ya racist bastard.
I have never in my life seen so much hatred from the opposition party for a President. Hell, even GWB had a bit more confidence from the American people. Sure you had your "HE STOLE THE ELECTION" believers... maybe he did, maybe not, sure Democrats were bummed when he was first elected, but you can't deny the strong support from a large majority of Americans when Bush told of his intentions of hunting down, and killing the terrorists who attacked our country. His approval ratings for that time reflect that. The guy started slipping soon after when we all figured out he wasn't after terrorists at all. I know personally, I lost confidence in him the day he comes on the air and tells the American people that some mid east country needs "LIBERATED". My first thought was... who gives a shit, go after the damn terrorists.
I guess what I am saying, is even though Bush was not the guy I voted for, I at least gave him the respect that he... at one point, deserved, because he WAS the man we elected.
Obama deserves that same respect from the Republican party. You can damn well bet if Edwards or Clinton were the ones who were elected, they would damn well receive AT LEAST the benefit of the doubt and an opportunity to show what they got. Obama has NOT ONCE gotten that from the GOP. The man has been slammed down and called a failure even before he was inaugurated. Now is that BULLSHIT or what? And your not gonna convince me the reason is any other except that he is a black man.
You gotta love that damn GOP projection. Trying OH SO HARD to convince people Obama is EVERYTHING they are and more.
Racist sons of bitches.
