I can't defend giving her that much air time to spout off the rancid tripe that was pouring out of her head, but in defense of Matt Lauer (somewhat) if you look at the end of the interview he clearly looks like he would like to smack Malkin across her smug face.

The real issue is that this is ALL the circus sideshow...race baiting questions and hyper-sensitivity from "repressed whites", Malkin, Limbaugh, Coulter, Beck et al., birthers, Michael Jackson....ALL of it is nothing but distraction while the country is continuing to be sucked dry by corporate thieves and their "hedge fund" taskmasters. The health care reform movement has already been watered down to the point of uselessness, the bail-out money from TARP has already been evaporated and taken into the profit column of Goldman Sachs, the recovery act money is being held-up to prevent any meaningful reform in energy production, usage and conservation. The BIG issues are laid low by morons and overt racists.

We, the people, are being screwed daily. If the people feel apathetic because they do not believe they can make a difference, then there is still hope that this nation need not perish under the tyranny of disinformation, deception and out-and-out fraud - they can be reached to mobilize and to believe again, although the Obama promise for change is really making that a tougher sell the next time....but if people have become so apathetic to the reality of our situation that they believe those with money and power really ARE more deserving or more capable (as if stealing money in a rigged game really requires that much effort or brains), then I fear all is lost.

We need to collectively attack these snake-oil salesmen and sleazy media whores like Malkin and expose them and their paymasters for what they really are - Prada '09.

That's the problem.....Except for Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann and lately Chris Matthews...the MSM doesn't call them out.
