I saw this video yesterday and they've got most of it wrong.

Aramaic is not a form of Hebrew, it's a variant of Greek.

We have no idea what Jesus spoke. His disciples spoke a bit of everything and probably were familiar with Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek as well as other languages. Nothing makes you a polyglot faster than living within a stones throw of multiple cultures. John's writings verge on incomprehensiblity because they're written in illiterate Greek, basically Greek words (often misspelled or with the wrong diacritical marks) with Hebrew grammar.

The "logic" of this reminds me of the undivided middle fallacies in 'Holy Blood, Holy Grail' (and by extension, 'The Da Vinci Code')
