MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan Plays With Dolls To Explain Health Care Reform - 07/29/09 |
|
Dylan on with Ariana Huffington and Dem Spokesperson and dolls (which kept falling apart) to explain the Doctor/Patient relationship with Mr. Insurance Man as the adversary. It belongs on Jon Stewart...

9. Oh...I missed that on Huff Post. Shamefully I've never watched Glenn Beck.. |
|
I just see his rantings posted here and there on DU and the Dem Pundits quotes from him. Thanks for the link.

7. Despite the Beck allusions, that was pretty good. |
|
He put the whole thing in a nutshell, and with genuine humor. And you know, there are a heap of folks out there who really need such a simplified explanation of the problem in order to wrap their minds around it. Thanks for posting.

11. A lot of people might need it explained in such a simple way to get it |
|
The Republican talking points are pretty simple (e.g., under Obama's plan, older people will be euthanized) and some ignorant folks actually buy it.

Dylan RAtigan to be the 'anti-insurance man' voice after his stint on Fast Money on CNBC, but glad I was wrong. The guiding principle of the Mayo Clinic, where I have been fortunate enough to see my husband get great care, is "The needs of the PATIENT come first". Doctors their have a salary, no fee for how many procedures they do or treatments they prescribe. The doctors are AVAILABLE, they LISTEN, it is ALL ABOUT THE PATIENT. And the Mayo Clinic is one of the places President Obama keeps mentioning as the model.
I love the term "Patient-driven". Is anyone in the Dem. congress using that? They should.
