Is using kids to test out a vaccine a good idea? Would you let your child be used as a test subject for this vaccine?

1. Kids are given flu shots EVERY YEAR in the US and around the world.

There is nothing different about the Swine flu vaccine other than the specific H and N antigens it targets.

People seriously need to GET A GRIP.

How does one determine safety and effectiveness in a cohort group without using it in that cohort group and then running some numbers?

July 29 (Bloomberg) -- Swine flu vaccine makers may rely on a U.S. emergency declaration to use experimental additives made by GlaxoSmithKline Plc and Novartis AG to boost a limited supply of shots that will be available to fight the pandemic.

The ingredients, known as adjuvants, may be added for the first time to flu shots in the U.S. Health officials, meeting today at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, plan to discuss use of the additives, and may also recommend who should be first to receive the limited amount of vaccines drugmakers say they will begin delivering in October.

That said the SEASONAL vaccine is tested every year as well. EVERY YEAR, and we have a history of them being extremely safe.

I am so strongly against the pharmaceutical industry's experiments on people. If people want to volunteer for this, that's their business. Kids can't make that choice.

Wayne Madson - well known conspiracy theorist and not a vaccine researcher quotes unnamed sources.

Suggests that evolution of the virus is manmade vs natural evolution? Which is more likely? Extraordinary claims require extraordinary written proof.

He says class actions lawsuits alleging vacinations result in autisum - yet the large preponderance and possibly all of these cases have not been found to have merit.

How many people will be harmed by not being vaccinated? Do you want your child to die of Whopping Cough? crippled for life from Polio?

Every action in medicine has some risk so does crossing the street - usually the cost benefits argue for it.

14. I'm sure you are aware of what happened in 1976

when they were vaccinating people with untested vaccines. In 1976 an earlier vaccine for the swine flu was tested but then they changed it up with one that wasn't tested. As a result there were 500 cases of Gullian-Barre paralysis and at least 25 deaths because of the swine flu vaccine. And it turned out the outbreak was all hype and never even materialized. I just don't think kids or unknowing adults should be used as guinea pigs for Big Pharma. And you must also remember that what they use on these kids might not even be effective in a few months because they admit this thing is apt or already mutating. There will be adverse side effects with this and all drugs.

Both injected and oral. My whole school were lab rats.

20. Since this flu may strike the young rather than the old, it makes sense to test on the young.

I say this as a former Salk polio vaccine (the first vaccine, with the shots rather than the sugar cubes) guinea pig as a kid.
