5. Jane is a nasy piece of work. |
|
She claims the Public Option she supports will enroll LESS than 30 Million, a lot less. The CBO estimates the Public Option as specified in HR 3200 will enroll LESS than 10 Million by 2019.
With the purchase of Health Insurance MANDATED for ALL Americans, and LESS than 10 Million in the Public Option.... How will this EVER "Keep the Insurance Corporations Honest" or "Drive down the cost of Health Care"?
I think I will be sending a few bucks to her Progressive Challenger who supports Single Payer.
No wonder Jane is trying to distance herself from the "Blue Dogs". You people in Ca, don't let this corrupt piece of shit get away with this.

6. Guess G.I. Jane's getting her phone messages |
|
But could I just take a moment here to observe that the way Rep. Harman curls her upper lip is exactly the same move my chihuahua makes when she's not happy about something.

JH: I've been pretty quiet but I've been taking it all in. I am a Blue Dog but I call myself the UN-blue dog for purposes of healthcare. And like Mr. Barton and many others on this committee, on both sides I strongly believe in the ability of markets to deliver the best healthcare. That is, why I support a robust Public option. As Mr. Perlong was sawying, it can create full purchasing power to leverage lower prices, multi-state drug purchasing pools. There are examples in the VA and DoD of how well this kind of thing can work. Flexibility, incentive to innovate and competition. the Public plan will at the maximum have 30 million people in it. Some estimates are far smaller, os it won't be the dominant , exclusive provider of healthcare. Right now! We have a market failure! We have 1 insurance plan in 54% of the markets in the US. That is obviously far worse than a market mechanism that will be generated by the Public option. I always wanted to name it something else, I've always thought that sounded a bit scary. But that's its name and what it is, isa way to drive competition, get prices down and get quality up. And that's what we are all about in trying to report this bill today. Thank you for yielding.
