3. He always makes so much sense

16% to 17% of our gross national product goes to healthcare, higher than those countries who have a single payer system. One in three dollars is not spent on healthcare.

If the money spent on enriching 'the flock of vultures hovering around DC' right now (good description of them DK) were to go where those spending the money on premiums think it's going, everyone would be covered.

Why don't the Dems make the point that if we had a single payer system no American would find it necessary to pay for the huge premiums (as high, for a family as DK says, as over $1,000.00 a month, but anywhere from $300 - $600 for inadequate coverage) they are now paying. Even if taxes had to be raised to some degree, people would probably still be paying less, and getting more for for their money.

He is one of the few who makes the case clearly for a Single Payer system that would be hard to argue with. I wish there were a few hundred of him in Congress right now.

6. That's the essential point that seems to elude the MSM pundits...
... when the question of "where's the money going to come from?" is asked over and over again. The simple answer is that it's already in the private health care system, in the form of grossly over-inflated premiums. Americans are already paying lots for a crappy system.

9. Right. It is medical fraud and waste and obscene profits.
And the rascals in congress and the senate that made it so and are keeping it an immoral criminal enterprise are the perpetrators.

Can congress be charged with criminal negligence for allowing 22,000 Americans to die each year from lack of access to treatments?

Throw the bums out or into jail.

7. A statue of this brave man needs to erected in Ohio and in Washington DC
Edited on Fri Jul-31-09 04:16 PM by Hulk
This man, and a few like him, are out there for America. A few good Congressmen and women are digging in and making their voices heard for America.

Those silent, or those opposed are demonstrating what lobbyists and campaign buy-offs have done to our government.

Go Dennis!! You are one courageous and strong man!! I love ya! You have one beautiful wife, and she has one beautiful man! God love ya!
