This stunning European documentary made available for the first time in the US, reveals several harsh consequences of genetic engineering worldwide.

A failed GM cotton crop prompts farmer suicides in India.
Windborne GM canola contaminates organic and conventional farms in Canada. One farmer fights Monsanto in the Supreme Court.
A company seeks approval for giant GM salmon that may threaten the survival of the natural species.
GM pigs are born with ghastly mutations.
And experts reveal how inadequate testing and regulations put us at risk.
It features Vandana Shiva, Andrew Kimbrell, Percy Schmeiser and others.

1. I hate to sound like a GM pig
...but isn't all farming "unnatural selection"?

2. With an insightful statement like that,
you would be a natural for a career in Monsanto's PR department.

8. farmers work within the realm of what is, making something entirely new is the stuff of Steven King
new as in taking the genes of things that isn't possible to be rearranged by pollination..

this is the stuff of Frankenstein..

making plants or bacteria act like human glands making hormones.. how about mushrooms that are actually chicken meat.. bacteria that can produce female or male hormones that cause cancer and can get into the guts of animals.. and cant ever be tracked down and eleminated..

that will kill all the bees and end civilization .. oh, i forgot, they may have already done that.

6. Well, up until now your average farmer couldn't find a way
to put pig proteins into rice or antibiotics into corn. And despite all previous attempts on farms throughout history, it took a laboratory to produce a sheep/ human hybrid.

10. Kick
I'm amazed that more DUers aren't very concerned about this issue. If it isn't brought under control soon I really believe that it will become yet another threat to our survival.

Oh, and the pig with human growth genes was REALLY disturbing!
