2. The Turks did great on this video!
I am not a Turk fan either, but the video is good.

I LOVE the part with David Letterman asking about a Gore/Obama ticket and Obama's response...

6. Actually the ticket Letterman was asking about was
Hillary Clinton/Obama to which Obama asked Letterman to clarify what order he was referring to.

8. Thanks for the clarification -
I had concluded that Letterman was in the Gore 2008 camp... Bummer that he isn't, at least not yet.

9. The Turks got this wrong, then
They imply with this clip that he was referring to Gore/Obama.

10. They sort of imply it -- I think their use of the clip is fair and not
too misleading in this context, they are pulling together clips and creating a montage. It is entertainment, not news.

12. I agree that it's entertainment, not news
Not a big deal, but it does give the wrong impression in that part.

3. i think it would be the funniest ticket in history.
really. how bad can that be? you win a lot of hearts, and, for those that see how smart their jokes are, a lot of minds as well.

13. The phrase "Sweet Home Gore-Obama" is so strong that..
..I found the lyric replacement unnecessary.

I want this sooo bad.

I doubt that I could not host the neighborhood convention party because i'd probably break down if Gore announced this ticket.

15. Very Strange...
That last clip of Gore. It doesn't look or sound like him. (I'm not confusing him with the earlier, thin, Al.) Compare that clip with the one that immediately precedes it. In the final one, he looks like Jack Nicholson doing a Gore impression.

16. I love Al and he's got to PUSH himself through whatever last vestiges
he is carrying of his "consummate politician personality" -- when he is real, he is fantastic -- when he starts to get into his "polmode" he stiffens.

And... we need to get over his moments of stiffness -- do we really care that he is pedantic? Is pedantic a whole shit-load better than unintelligent?

We need a WHOLE lot of truth told these days and Al does that best when he stays real...

17. They have way too much time on their hands
Now, if they were really supporting Al Gore and using the airwaves to actually move and inspire people to stand up and take action regarding the climate crisis this might not look so contrived, fake, and cheasy.

23. We have been meeting up and tabling for Gore Obama since 2006!
That's a great video. Anyone out there interested in jioning us on the ground?

GO-08.org and "The Dream Team" PAC are the original nationwide grassroots movement dedicated to promoting The Dream Team of former Vice President Al Gore and U.S. Senator Barack Obama for the 2008 Presidential Election. These leaders not only represent the best values, integrity, and vision of America , they are also the key to sweeping nationwide Democratic victories in 2008. We formed in October 2006.

Our goal is to enable these leaders to join forces as early as possible by getting out and generating the discussion, performing outreach through grassroots tabling and literature distribution, and helping identify supporters and volunteers. Our members realize that winning a specific state primary or the Democratic nomination while losing the general election does not further the Democratic cause – it hurts America . In November 2008 Americans will elect a team, not an individual, and we want to be there with the strongest team possible.

Never believe that your participation cannot make the difference. Always remember that decisions are made by those that show up. Working together side-by-side we will make The Dream Team a reality. SHOW UP!

Gore-Obama is getting hotter and hotter and here is more press and discussion every day. Now is the time to act with this vision to show Gore that you are serious. A 3 month Meetup account costs only $45 ($72 for 6 months). We also have special low cost startup support packs for new meetups with buttons and bumper stickers and a t-shirt for you to start tabling and quickly recover expenses. Interested in being a leader and a trend setter? Contact us at contact@go-08.org and we will help you start a Meetup in your county. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! ACT NOW!!

Newest meetups: Los Angeles County & Ventura County, California
