2. Chill out

He's on it! Lay back, relax. The truth machine is just starting to wind up. Timing is everything. The Reich shot their load and think they achieved something because Faux says so. Just sit back and watch the steam roller of truth go into high gear. On second thought don't sit back because you and I are part of that steamroller. You see it now with the liberal base getting energized by all the townhall nonsense. They are now getting more organized and coming out in force to these meetings. That is just the start. There are campaigns and rallys and all sorts of stuff coming from literally hundreds of REAL grassroots movements out there. Every week I hear of new progressive grassroots organizations coming out of the woodwork I never even heard of before.

In fact this is a lot like how his campaign went. He was considered down and out a few times but slowly and surely the grassroots built up steam and by the time McCain knew what hit him Obama was unstoppable. Of course the reich learned from that so this time they got the whole astroturf thing going and have a lot of money behind them but Obama knows a thing or two about history and how to learning from it too!

I knocked on doors and made phone calls. I met some really good people and we were excited!!

5. by the time McCain knew what hit him Obama was unstoppable.

You mean by the time McCain picked the Palinator,...Obama looked like the only sane alternative.

But, again, don't worry too much. The Right still has Sarah speaking for them and the fruit loops are out in force and look like the whole party. Not to mention they are looking, not just wacky, but dangerous, with guns hanging next to their crotch at Town Halls and loopy homophobic preachers praying for Obama's death. This puts off many more people of all persuasions than it recruits.

Republicans at this point look like a panicked bird in a room smashing itself repeatedly into a closed window they're so desperate. They literally have nothing to offer and it shows. It may take Dems five times longer to get anything done (because of caution and respect for differing views) but they will come around to the fact that Repugs don't matter... even if Dems continue to pretend that they do.

8. Real men don't need guns

When you see these guys with guns what you are seeing are men lacking in confidence with feelings of inadequacy. A gun is like a penis extension to them. Their comeback is "I'm protecting my family" which is horseshit. You don't need to 'protect your family' at a townhall meeting or walking around town shopping!
