is it not disturbing, though, that we have to go back to the VN War era to find such a song? There were plenty then, this being one of the best. I have a collection I play periodilcally, both the soft "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" and the hard: this, "War!", "Fixin' To Die Rag" etc.
It has been forty-two years since Country Joe wrote the Fixin to Die Rag, and it is still applicable:
"1,2,3 what are we fighting for?"
Back then the country was torn apart over the obscenity that was VN.
Now? Not so much...
