During his run for the U.S. Senate in 2006, then-Lt. Gov. Michael Steele argued that in order to control federal spending, he would advocate cuts in other government programs, including Social Security, Medicare, and defense. “Everything has to be on the table, my friend,” Steele said to NBC’s Tim Russert.

Now as Republican National Committee chair, Steele is singing a different tune. In an effort to scare seniors, the RNC released a “Seniors Health Care Bill of Rights” last week, calling on the government to “protect Medicare and not cut it in the name of reform.”

But it appears that Steele has put Medicare cuts back “on the table.” On ABCNews.com’s Top Line today, host David Chalian asked Steele about his view on Medicare cuts. After meandering through a long non-answer, Steele finally said that they may be necessary to reform Medicare.

1. this looks like it is going to end either by Democrats getting their shit together or in civil war.
the psychological brainwashing/mind control has to stop.. people need to learn that Republicans lie amd minipulate because they have NO TRUTH TO SAY. THEY ARE Theocratic-FASCISTS,

they believe weealth is proof of gods favor of a man, therefore it is a sin to tax a rich man or rich Corporation. WEALTH IS GODS PLAN, they want to totally destroy the government, because Gods Utopia will rise out of the ashes of the Constitution.

Repoblicans do not think or feel as we do.. if they do at all. they are a psychotic personality cult, they simply kneejerk the party line while glorifying in their ignorance and averice... they are caught up, and owned by the Glamor of Evil.

3. The media is selling Obama's health care "Reform"
Obama needs 500 billion dollars and quickly.

So, he is going to "Reform" health care.

The "Reform" will allow Obama to rob the accounts of "Medicare", "Medicaid" and "Social Security".

Obama is going to grab the 500 billion right away and spend it right away on wars, mayhem and chaos around the globe.

All monies aimed at "Reform" will be delayed until Obama leaves office and left for the next president to handle.

In 2016, the "Economic Terrorists" will tell the American people that the cookie jar is empty and that huge taxes are required to finance the "Reforms" which were introduced in 2009. If you read the legislation now before Congress, you will see that no "Reform" takes place before 2016.

Calm

8. Steele is such a liar. When confronted with the conflict
between his two statements, the first, advocating cuts in Medicare, the second, advocating no cuts in Medicare, he covers himself very cleverly. This should get major coverage. It shows how the Republicans are trying to fool American seniors into thinking that the Republicans will protect Medicare benefits when, to the contrary, they plan to cut them.
