BecKKK starts off saying everyone is accusing him of targeting Van Jones, and then immediately proceeds to spend a whole hour doing exactly that, taking snippets of Van Jones' comments out of context and using hyperbolic phrases to scare the shit out his naive & gullible fans.

I really liked the eco-capitalism idea Jones spoke about from 5:58. Maybe he's been reading this?

http://www.earth-policy.org/Books/Eco_contents.htm">Eco-Economy: Building an Economy for the Earth

For some proper context, here's Van Jones' whole Power Shift speech:

Here's part 1 as posted on DU back in March: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x279265

Regarding the "violence". BecKKK, have you heard about the two wars we've been involved in for the past 7 years and the http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-US&q=gun+violence+that's+plaguing+America&aq=f&oq=&aqi=">gun "violence" that's plaguing America? That's just my guess at what V.J. is talking about, anyway.

On a final note, BecKKK is pretty much saying that we should continue with our policies of "exploitation and oppression", that explains the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporatocracy">corpocratic agenda he and his dimwitted followers are defending to a t.

3. This is fun to watch though
Black liberal president, black liberal cabinet member, latino supreme court justice and people like Glenn Beck are having their heads explode. Its funny to watch, like blazing saddles except sad.

5. So.....According to Glen Blecch.....we're supposed to believe that Obama
...is a 9/11 "Truther"???

Shouldn't he be more concerned with the "Birther" nutjobs? Oh, wait. I forgot. He's a Birther...

Hasn't this asshole yet lost enough sponsors to get him off the air?

7. I M O IT IS SAD
That our president does not share the SANE philosophy that Van Jones does. Of course when wealth is concentrated in the hands of about 2% of Americans, we need to redistribute the wealth. That is common sense. Beck says "this doesn't sound like capitalism to me." Well, if you believe that subsidizing corporations and whole industries, is "capitalism" then you are sadly mistaken. Capitalism has resulted in most of the negatives we have in this country. Like lobbyists buying our (the peoples) representatives, I think it is the time to take a long look at "American Style" capitalism and junk the system. It has proven to be injurious to most Americans. Remember the old adage "our system may not be perfect, but it is the best one in the world." BULLSHIT! Our MSM won't do it, so, research some other countries. America ranks way down on every aspect, including personal freedoms and individual satisfaction. I'd vote (I am a middle aged white man) for Van Jones in a HEART BEAT.

8. I'm waiting for Beck's suicide on camera any day now.
Didn't Hunter/Garcia have a song about him? "Switchman's sleeping, Train 102,
He's on the wrong track and headed for you," Glenn. I watch his daily manic cycle and wonder how it is going to end. Not pretty, not pretty at all.

10. Van Jones sounds really awesome, the most sense in the whole clip...

of course folks need a more equitable and greener society, because what there is now is only working for the wealthy Glenn Becks of the world. Sure enough it's driving them crazy that slowly but surely people are working them out and their game is coming to an end. It may not seem like that now but it is. All there screaming and hollering really won't change much just make progress advacne faster, as they make the need more evident. As I say it may not seem that way now, but as one radio caller said his students are trying to figure out if Obama is socialist what is that concept and finding out it may not be that bad an idea at all. We're going to get there maybe not as quick as we thought but it's going to happen.

12. I agree
I think for a whole host of reasons the country is moving to the left. And even though there will be bumps I am hoping that by late in the next decade we have high tax rates on the wealthy, far better social programs and more closely resemble a western european country. But who knows.

11. We Need Faye Dunaway!!!
Like how Faye Dunaway dealt with madman Howard Beale. It would be a ratings-grabber to top Glenn Beck's irresponsible form of trash "journalism".
