4. Try this maybe
I've had good luck finding an address or phone number using www.peopledata.com Checking the person's year of birth that is listed there by their name can sometimes help you narrow down who you are looking for. I've heard his church is in Tempe so I'm guessing he also lives there.

16. His church is registered to a house that is currently in foreclosure...
...though I don't think he's the one who is in default. It appears that he sold it in 2005 and moved to Tempe and bought a house there. The selling price of that house was $200k+ so he had to have come into some money, moving, as it was, to a new city from a $120k house to $200K house.

Other than demonic possession, and a bad case of being an asshole, he's just an average Republican (you know, a narcissistic self-hating closet homosexual with a propensity for epic douche-baggery)

3. as much as i dislike pastor anderson
That reporter was being kind of a douche. If he had let the man answer the questions I'm sure the pastor would have been revealed as the giant ball of shit he is. Flooding him with questions while he's trying to answer just makes the reporter look hostile and childish.

6. That's an interesting comment;
What is your opinion that liberal reporters don't go for the throat like faux does? Or maybe you prefer a Couric approach (Not that she's liberal, just saying)? The reporter never raised his voice or got sappy. He did not machine gun his questions but did wait, at least did so for most of what they are calling an interview, a few seconds for jebus the fire sprinkler guy to respond. If the response was bull shit, the reporter called him on it.

Other than being in the media, a liberal, facial hair, their mode of dress and someone who cares not what their responders say and do to them, did anyone else notice how else this guy reminded them of Michael Moore?

Just saying!

7. maybe i saw the video differently
but I just think that the reporter actually DID machine gun the questions, and that the pastor would have hung himself regardless (on account of his being a dumb ass). Now the pastor can use the reporter's behavior as a defense for his lack of answers, saying he wouldn't let him finish a sentence.

I say give him plenty of time to answer - he'll just dig a deeper hole.

8. I have been covering this story from the start
Edited on Tue Sep-08-09 01:13 PM by SargeUNN
I live in Phoenix and have been covering this guy. I have actually invited him to come on my radio show and he sent me an email asking if it was a "real" radio show or just internet. I answered him with both because I am carried on a station as well. He never answered back after that.

Steven Lemon is someone else who I know about and he is a pretty good journalist. This guy is tough but he is pretty fair and is totally aware of this freaky preacher and Anderson's connections with suspect groups. Anderson appears to be well associated with Ernest Hancock who I also know and Hancock is the one who was "interviewing" Chris Broughton while he carried the assault weapon during the President's visit. Hancock also put up the video of the preacher's back in April of his encounter with the border patrol. Hancock also was associated with the Cobra Militia and is associated with this very wierd network, republic broadcasting which seems to be a Nativist network.

10. He got seriously owned by the two gay interviewers on this radio show
Here's part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Qo4bzwWijY

Parts 2 & 3 are here: http://www.youtube.com/user/GayHistoryTranscript

At the beginning of part 3 he hangs up because he can't handle it any more and the hosts mock him relentlessly. The whole thing is really quite funny, he comes out with some ridiculous statements. I wonder if you could get permission from Jack E. Jett to rebroadcast it for your local listeners...

11. Here's the article on this in Phoenix New Times
http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/bastard/2009/09/steven_anderson_flips_out_as_i.php">Steven Anderson Flips Out, Admits Business and Church Share an Address, Says He's Been Contacted by U.S. Secret Service (w/Update)

This little nugget is quite interesting:

"Anderson opened the door of the church, and Vetscher asked the preacher-man if he'd been visited by the Secret Service since last week. Anderson admitted that the Secret Service had called him, but his attorney advised him not to speak with them. So he declined their request for an interview."

Can citizens "decline" the Secret Service's requests for interviews? Even if it's possible and what he said is true, the refusal alone must have raised their suspicions.

18. Mixing business and churchin'. Sounds like he has a good
thing going. Political spiel from the pulpit combined with questionble business practices. Very enterprising I'd say.

17. The Christian right is running tons of financial scams. My sister ran into

A dad and his "saved" daughter the other day that were selling guitar pick earings for 20$.

They give part of the money to "somewhere". Nobody ever checks this shit.
