...He did VERY well - AND after watching that video where Mrs. Edwards called Annthrax about her hatefulness - I sent MORE money to the Edwards campaign...because the Edwards' are RIGHT - all this nastiness does is DETRACT and DISTRACT from intelligently discussing the REAL ISSUES on the table and brings the dialogue down to a disgustingly low level - like playground bullies calling names and hurling insults. It doesn't accomplish ANYTHING and the REAL ISSUES never get discussed. It just debases the entire national dialogue and discussion. This somewhat goes along with Al Gore's book "An Assault on Reason" - it's the same or a similar M.O.


What to support the Edwards family in helping to STOP this crap? Then DO IT - STOP ANN COULTERISM - contribute to the Edwards Campaign!

Ever notice how Repukes can't believe it when a woman doesn't seek permission from her husband before speaking her mind?

John Edwards is right, though--you can't just sit down and let these bastards run roughshod over you. That's what gives the Dems the image of being spineless.

I loved this particular response to the video: "Coulter is nothing but a disgruntled delusional Republican transvestite."

But the hilarious thing is, Edwards is getting TONS of publicity from this, and he and Elizabeth are coming off looking very classy in the face of her vile hate-spewing. Matthews is just showing himself to be a lowlier, more boorish pig than he's ever been before. He acts as if the judgments of the public and the Edwardses against the indecency of Ann Coulter are purely subjective. But he's setting Edwards up by playing Mr. Fair N. Square, so that when he weighs in against Edwards later, the public will still think Matthews is being even handed. That's the scam and the set-up and how corporate media use surrogates like Coulter, Matthews, and Alan Colmes to discredit people like Edwards.

They create these phony over-the-top scenes so somebody can seem credible, then they have the credible one criticize the Democrat or the liberal.

Heres' my take.
I think the American people are smarter than to think Barack Obama is somehow untrustworthy as President because his middle name happens to be Hussein. But Ann thinks the American people are stupid enough to believe that. Ann thinks the American people are shallow enough to judge a presidential candidate by thigh size, I think the American people care about real issues, not some one else's cellulite. And while some Americans may disagree with John Edwards, I think they would not wish any harm on him. But Ann thinks there are a lot of Americans who believe it is OK to kill some one with different views than your own. Strangely, the terrorists share the latter view...
