If you want to avoid teh stupid, the landmine in question is from 1:41 until 2:36.

Out of curiosity, I took a brief glimpse at Faux's reaction earlier. The timing was perfect because this was on and while I was wathcing it I hoped would be uploaded so I could share the moment. From just after Dan "politically savvy" Engler started talking, it became clear the interviewer was very reluctant to let him have his say but he'd gone past the point of no return, even though he did pull the mic from the guy mid sentence a couple of times to try and censor him. The look on the reporter's face at 2:34 is pricelss.

1. I caught that too...
Wish I could have heard Mr. Engler's last few comments.

And this is..."reporting?" Go to a get-together of politically extreme-right Repubs and ask them about Obama's health care plans?

No doubt FOX attended a party of progressive Dems "to get their take" on the President's speech...

And watching this just reminded me why I don't go out to bars anymore...

2. I think "Griff Jenkins" is a David Cross character.
I mean, seriously, put a wig on David Cross and he looks just like him, plus the "Griff Jenkins" character approaches news stories in exactly the same dumb way that Cross would parody. A brilliant piece of performance art.

4. I know what you mean about him being a "character"
The glasses he wears are obviously a prop, too.

9. Did they get the idea to do this segment from FBN's fatuous "Happy Hour"?
With a determination to get it even worse?

11. Faux are "following" the "Tea Party Express"
Edited on Thu Sep-10-09 01:08 PM by Turborama
They are "following it" (read: promoting it) until it gets to Washington on September 12.

Sourcewatch has more details: http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Tea_Party_Express#_note-5

The "Fox Nation" website is actively promoting it, too. I won't add a link to avoid giving them extra traffic.

12. There's a reason they didn't interview any drunken
liberals without any common sense. They can't find any.
