MSNBC Countdown w/ DAVID SHUSTER - 14 September 2009: David Shuster doesn't hold back in attacking the hypocrisy of the "9/12" klan rall..., er, protest. Interview w/ Newsweek's Howard Fineman. Fineman says many Republicans are afraid to speak out against the fringe such as Rep. Joe Wilson.

FINEMAN: "(Beck) is making a boatload of money dividing the country. When you say with no real evidence whatsoever that the President of the United States hates White people, you aren't behaving in the spirit of 9/12, you're behaving in a spirit we thought we gotten rid of at the end of the Civil War and the end of the second civil rights movement. So, he can cry the crocodile tears all he wants..."

SHUSTER (as he shows protest hate posters): "On 9/12/2001 did anyone not affiliated with al Qaeda threaten the President's life? Did they denigrate the ancestry and skin color of President Bush?"

"Sen,. Demint also claimed that the attendees were a cross-section of America. If by cross-section he meant white, whiter and whitest..."

17. and the real point is: that money comes from SOMEWHERE
follow the money.

In other words, if you go to mcdonalds and have a complaint about the hamburger, don't talk to Ronald McDonald, talk to the corporation.

8. I just think they aren't very smart. At ALL.
It's like they take awesome pride in putting racial hatred in front of the facts, refuting science to believe a story, and take canyon-leaps in logic to make connections that are stunningly ludicrous. These people should be studied and watched, not viewed as some kind of cross-section of middle America bunch o'reg'lar folks comin' out t' demonstrate.

11. Fineman makes a particularly salient point:
The RNC may not be encouraging the Fleabaggers (with the notable exceptions of Demint's speech and "You lie!"), but neither is any prominent Republican divorcing the party's mainstream from them.

Campaigning will begin soon for the 2010 mid-terms. What image of Republicans will the all-important independent voters have?

I like how this is playing out.

That's really all there is to them. A more apropos name for "Fox News" would be "Wolf News".

19. They act as if the cheney/bush administration never existed!
How have they gotten this far based on a message that denies easily verifiable facts? That asserts paranoid fantasies as Gospel Truth?

They must have every single American with an IQ below 90 on their side! Their message seems to resonate powerfully with the stupid and uninformed.

Listening to Beck weep and sob literally makes me sick. In between guffaws. What an ass!
