This is the first 8 minutes of Michael Moore's appearance on The Jay Leno Show.

US residents can watch the full interview on the NBC website: www.thejaylenoshow.com

But it might not work if you live outside the US.

1. Thanks Michael;
However, I knew all that. Hopefully his newest video will reach a large number of people who are clueless as to these details and maybe, just maybe, these same people will get the slightest glimmer of a clue and mention it to their friends and family... Naw, I don't believe in fairy tales either.

2. I was just getting interested...
Great so far. Moore has a lot of great points. How can "we the people" stand up against "they the rich Wall Street guys"?

3. the full interview includes him singing the first two verses of
The Times They Are A-Changin'

of course weaselly Jay runs up and mocks him saying he sings like Nixon.

4. I think Jay Leno doesn't get it...
when Moore is talking about the top 1% of wealth I think Leno thinks he's talking about him

6. The way Moore explained it
was that the top 1% has more wealth than the bottom 95% combined. Jay's in that 4% that thinks it is in the top 1% but isn't even close. Jay is Tony Romo. The majority shareholder of G.E. is Jerry Jones. For non sports fans that's a player to owner analogy.

8. Leno's site is full of consumer "surveys"

He doesn't let you see the video without going through these PCH games.

Bad, Jay, Bad!

5. complete cheap shot at Dodd
imho

banks treat people differently based on the likelihood they will repay the loan. And, the loan to Dodd did not happen in those few days before the first and second vote as is implied by Moore.

I'm a HUGE Moore fan but understand the argument that he goes off the rez like he did in that portion of the interview.

7. Still.
Every time a Democrat accepts gifts from the assholes on Wall Street they seem to vote against our interests. They don't even appear to care about the "appearance of evil" any longer. We need a big time shake up. MM's movies have had real impact and I hope this one does too.

Personally I like Senator Dodd.

9. I'm sorry
But that is BS. Dodd seems like a nice guy most of the time but when you start taking these kinds of gifts you invite scrutiny.

It is not a cheap shot. A cheap shot would be going after his family, his doctor, or a professor he liked in school. A cheap shot would be judging him for a personal decision or tossing his medical records on the internet.

Judging him for taking a sweetheart loan from one of the people he is supposed to be regulating is fair game and very appropriate.
