During the summer and the health care/townhall/media meltdown that this nation experienced, I came to the conclusion that American Exceptionalism is probably one of the most dangerous and unproductive aspects of the American id. It isn't unique in the world, but it sure is polluted. In other words, we as a nation are mean as hell. Domestically and in foreign affairs. So I wrote this song and created the video to express my frustrations. I hope I can provide a voice for many people here and foster a discussion on this problem that, I think, is central to our inability to approach our nation's issues in a rational and logical way.

1. Impressive, josephT. You're very talented. We all here share your

frustration. I'm beginning to think that maybe satire and humor might be the most effective ways to reach the other half of our country that don't see things the way we do (although studies have shown that the satire goes right over their heads, ala Stephen Colbert).
