I tend to agree with Mr Legend but who is this Nic Lott and why are CNN trying so hard to be "Fair & Balanced" by allowing such an obvious GOP token African American to be the counter argument? They should be talking to white Republican politicians to see how they defend themselves, instead.

Born Nicholas A. Lott, he's a self-described conservative, has previously worked under Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (no relation), and U.S. Congressman J.C. Watts and has interned in The White House during President George W. Bush's first year in office. During the 2003 Mississippi gubernatorial campaign, Lott was director of youth outreach for GOP nominee Haley Barbour. Following Barbour's victory over incumbent Gov. Ronnie Musgrove, Lott joined Barbour's administration as senior advisor for communications and public safety issues for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

3. It's as if a bully hit someone and the bully punched him right back, and

then went and whinged to the teacher. He cowed the bully (as Churchill said of the Nazis: They're "either at your feet or at your throat"), and then lost the respect he'd gained, by proceeding to accept the role as "victim" - the very thing the bully sought in the first place. It's not going to work with the strong President you have. He won't be lured into their agenda, and debilitated by their sorry antics. Never was the phrase, "Move on", more apposite.

The corrupt right-wing press will be only too happy to spin out the helpless racial victimhood line to debilitate Obama. What Democrats and decent souls need to do is to view your President as the political titan he is considered to be in Europe and the rest of the world, and always keep it before your eyes. Why should you view everything in American politics through the prism of duelling banjo-pickers? Yes, crack down hard on those who would demean Obama via racism or any other means they can concoct, but then move on promptly. Nothing else will lead anywhere but to distraction and furtherance of the malign agenda of Obama's enemies.

I'm not saying the matter of racism should never have been brought up, but once identified, "knock it on the head".
