that contemptible piece of elephant shit droppings, he is right. Him and his corporate Rightwing media are DESTROYING the president. Of course, they won't admit they are doing through lies, mudslinging, and using completely bat shit made up "facts." In fact, I will go even further and say that they are destroying the very institution of the presidency. Well, of course, you have got to de-legitimize the current power, that way it is much easier to install your fascist dictatorship. Duh.

7. "Destroying the President"? |
|
Really? Let's review. In the last week, Obama appeared before the joint session of congress and got healthcare reform right back on track. One of the biggest obstacles to reform, Max Baucus, put forward an odious plan that no one will support within a million miles. In fact, Baucus actually strengthened the position of the public option supporters.
Bill O'Reilly and the conservative media live in their own bubble world. Yes, they have their following, but their numbers are dwindling. When Obama gets healthcare reform passed and the economy improves in the next two years, he, and the Dems, will be unstoppable.
Buck up.

the President has stayed on message and logic will win the day over distoriton. Although I can imagine in deep red areas it may feel this isn't the case, but sure enough he's made a comeback.

4. I didn't know the media was in a war where one faction |
|
should be winning...I thought the idea of news stations was to inform the public of what's happening out in the world. There shouldn't even be factions tha are trying to win anything. If they are in a battle for minds and call themselves "news" maybe they should be put out of business and taken off the airwaves.

What have they won? One resignation? ACORN? Come on, big deal. The only thing that they're winning over is the people that already agree with them. The rest of America has no idea of what they're even talking about.
The ego and arrogance of people never ceases to amaze me.

how to blunt the right wing media. The truth is the right wing media is winning and it is because the MSM is not doing their jobs. This is the whole reason Media Matters was created. They did the same thing in the 90's. I hate Fox News but they are very, very powerful and so is the AM radio. We need the fairness doctrine reinstated. The other problem is that the people out of power are always the most vocal. I don't see the same passion on the left as I do on the radical right.

It's not that I'm religious, but I know that a lot of them declare themselves to be. The key to their pearly gates is mostly from doing the right thing for all of humanity. Which President Obama illustrates in sense of honor and integrity. As many have said you don't have to be religious to do good but it's a fundamental requirement if a person declares themselves to be that way or it's a pointless exercise. If they're not working to be a good, generous and humble person they're generally going through a load of rituals for no reason. The strongest case for reincarnation nope go back try again. And spewing hatred as some of them do well according to their own rules they're going nowhere fast.

Unless we regain the Fairness Doctrine or some control of media ownership.. it's all over for this country.

16. Let's not freak out - that's how we prevail in the end! |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-18-09 04:36 AM by jimlup
They want us to freak out. That is their whole game. That we are to some extent is the only possible way that they can claim to be winning.
Yes, they've pushed jingoism, obfuscation, misrepresentation, ignorance, racism, and outright lies, quickly disseminated through to a network of idiots, to a whole new level. That they consider that "winning" is really sad.
We need to remember that while we are a big part of his core support - the president is a big kid - he can and will take care of himself politically. I'm not worried - this right wing hoopla is going to eventually backfire in the biggest way we can imagine.

Orly Taitz and the birthers, Glenn Beck and the 912ers, Michelle Bachmann, the "Sleeping Giant" lady, etc., for keeping a balance -- showing the idiocy of the right-wing agenda.
If this is a game, they are winning points for our team.
