according to the whack jobs in the forums at Catholic.com (I go over there now and again to thank God I had the sense to lapse) the ONLY issue that matters is abortion. Starving children, children denied medical care, none of that can be addressed as long as abortion is legal.

That is why they love Bush and hate Obama. Bush may have started an unnecessary war that has killed thousands (including, one would guess, some pregnant women) but George is a friend of the fetus, Obama is not.

All these "prolifers" are opposed to any kind of health insurance reform. I went over there yesterday to see if the fools had anything to say about private insurers deciding they wouldn't pay for c-sections because pregnancy is a "choice" (and do they hate that word over there) but they were strangely silent on the matter.

(In fairness, there are a few sane voices over there, but they are badly outnumbered and you just can't argue with stupid for too long without wanting to jump off a cliff)
