12. lol. I love the sign!
When Edwards explains anything, whether it is why Lieberman
should not run or why need to start leaving Iraq now, it seems
so simple. That is something for which Dems are not often
known to excel. He just zeroes in on the core if the issue
and finds what is morally necessary.

5. Interesting...
Some folks on DD were complaining about JRE not doing enough for Lamont, but I think considering JRE was the first to call and congratulate Lamont, then do a rally AND fundraiser is pretty cool. :toast:

7. Joe must go!
As Senator Edwards says, in this video of a blogger conference with Ned Lamont, Lieberman should not even be running!

9. very true!
Joe should have listened to the will of the people, instead of his own vanity. We need more real Democrats, not DINOs.

10. Keep going Lamont!
It's not over until Nov 7. I am really glad that John Edwards was there to help. I hope that Lamont will take this seat. Thanks for your post.

13. Love the Foreign Policy part of the speech
I've watched both Lamont and Edwards' speeches earlier. Great stuff, but the most impressive part of the rally was Edwards' FP vision. It is the polar opposite of the fearmongering that goes on today. Americans have gotten used to being scared of the world, but Edwards, through his example of Sudan (and Uganda in other speeches) is showing a different side of the world - the more humanitarian side, which is not out to get us, but which needs our help. I wish we can once again claim high moral ground in the world soon. There are real dangers in the globalized world, but a true diplomat/statesman can help us navigate through such a world - and quite frankly, to me, most of the world is just as anxious as Americans are about Islamic fundamentalism, globalized economies, etc. Someone needs to emphasize that we are in this TOGETHER, unlike Bush who boasts that "either you are with us or against us."

14. I choose hope over cynicism
Edwards seamlessly ties everything together; the economy, the war, our future. He's a visionary who can actually communicate that vision in a simple understandable way. That is called "eloquence". Three years ago when "free trade" malarkey was all the rage still, John Edwards saw where America was going and said "It didn't have to be that way." He now has matured into a foreign policy visionary too. This is who we need as lead dog in this Ididarod. But the the Fat Cats are going to put up a hell of a fight. Are we ready to rumble? ...Too many mixed metaphors?

15. "I do not think Lieberman should be running.....
.... I do not believe he should be running as an Independent. I mean, if he ran as a Democrat, he asked Democratic voters to vote for him, they chose someone else, you know, we have to show respect for the people who voted in the primary. So, I would go further than just being for Lamont. I do not think that Lieberman should be running...."
