For the 1st 7 minutes President Obama discusses how he's strategizing the Afghanistan conflict and comments briefly on the North Korea situation. At 7:04 he's asked by John King about the letter from seven former directors of the CIA asking him to stop the torture investigation. He reiterated what he has previously said about nobody being above the law and that he has no intention of "squelching" any ongoing investigations and "ultimately, the law is the law and we don't go around picking and choosing how we approach it".

Obama knows about that Spanish judge. If the US doesn't hold them accountable for torture (and where torture leads, 9-11) then the rest of the world will do it (and it won't be with a Sen. Leahy 'Truth and Reconcilation' committee hearing if that happens !). Take your pick Bushies...

So now the question becomes, "how do we square "ultimately, the law is the law and we don't go around picking and choosing how we approach it" against "we must look forward, and not backward"?
