2. I love Beck. He's craaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy.
He's the perfect leader for these lunatics. I love how these people just out and out lie.i.e. I have Fox programmed off my tv yet I knew about the (Obama is a Kenyan Communist Nazi and we suddenly care that the gov't is spending tons of money) march.

and went on an attack of Democrats a few years ago?

Boy, am I confused?

4. God told that POS Congressman to discriminate against gay, support an unjustified war
support racial profiling, tell the poor and sick to kiss off and support massive top heavy tax cuts to the upper 10% of the population?

Is that the God you listen to, or do you listen to your corporate masters, Congressman?

26. Walter Jones is one of the better repubs.
Edited on Mon Sep-21-09 01:18 PM by ginnyinWI
For one thing, he's been against the war since way-back-when. And he voted to reprimand Wilson--one of only seven repubs.

They aren't all the same.

From Wikipedia:

Jones was initially a strong supporter of the conflict in Iraq, but then became one of the leading Republicans opposed to continued involvement in Iraq. Jones became well-known for leading the effort, along with GOP Rep. Bob Ney, to have french fries renamed "freedom fries" in House cafeteria menus as a protest against French opposition to the 2003 invasion of Iraq.<15> Jones later modified his stance on the war to a considerable extent. In 2005, he stated that he had come to believe that there had been little reason to go to war, despite his earlier support, which had been based upon selective intelligence supplied to Congress. He said of his previous position on the fries, "I wish it had never happened."<16> In July 2006, the names were quietly changed back.<17>

29. Yes, he is a silly man sometimes (Mr. Freedom Fries), but he has
a conscience and when he realized what a boondoggle the war was, he turned against it. He also visits the wounded diligently--as does his wife.

how the media is all up in arms and starting to gang up on Faux over the teabaggers. Yet, where were they when hundreds of the thousands marched to protest the installation of Bu$h by the Supreme Court or the hundreds of thousands who protested the Iraq war? Just because they are waking up now about Faux and how scary the rhetoric has become on the right does not mean that they can be excused for their past actions which has cost the lives of many.

28. No the media is not ganging up on Faux over the teabaggers.
The only reason for this story is that Fox took out an ad claiming that CBS didn't cover the teabagger rally in Washington DC. If Fox had not done this, there would not have been a story.

Fox really thinks that they are so powerful that they can influence the majority of the American people with their garbage since they were able to get a small percentage of people to buy into their crap. They feel empowered now to go up against the entire MSM with this ad attack because they drank their own kool aide and believe that the teabagger movement is larger than it is and the people in it really represent America.

It hurts them even more that Obama refused to go on their "news" show. These stories tend to make the American people sympathize with his decision and understand it better.

The ad was their jump the shark moment and the biggest blunder they have ever made.

Obama is right in ignoring (rather than engaging) these
lunatics. These people are the fringe of the fringe. Anyone
saying that Fox news presents 'both sides' has lost their mind
and objectivity. I'm hoping that they will have EPIC FAIL
under their own stupidity. Jikes, I need to change the

10. That's horrible
I liked much of the rest of the report, but it's hard to retain credibility about anything when you get basic political facts right. If you don't know Joe Wilson is from SC, you don't know he started his career with Strom, or that he led the charge to keep the Confederate battle flag flying over the SC capitol. What makes it worse it that, presumably, some editor or fact checker also had to sign off on this report, and they didn't notice it, either.

It happens. I'm just glad they're exposing this. CBS Sunday Morning is way conservative in a non-fringe, old, traditional manner, and showing them how crazy the fringe elements are can only help.

19. Some of them don't think the Republicans are right wing enough.
All the really far out right wingers I've met refuse to identify themselves as Republicans. I betcha Glenn Beck doesn't call himself a Republican. (If you pressed him he'd probably say he's 'an American' or 'a Patriot')

The same trick works for Christians. All the craziest, wing-nuttiest televangelist-watching whack jobs refuse to identify with a denomination, insisting that they are simply 'a Christian'.

And we don't need Joe to be linked to Louisiana. We have enough of our own problem politicians! Yikes. Stay in SC...please.

20. Can someone ask that lady
to name one liberal voice of opposition that can be found on Faux Noise? Either as a host or a frequent commentator? I can find liberals, moderates and conservatives on CNN and MSNBC, but when I tune into Faux, the most "liberal" voice I hear is from some mild-mannered, ill-informed or outright ineffective-communicator from the middle. So which 'both sides' are being represented? Crazy and Conservative?

22. WHAT CAN I DO?
i have given up trying to help "scared" posters on some discussion forums i'm on, through calm rational discussions. they will not read my posts, or read them and aren't willing to listen (consider other sources than WND, FAUX or BOSS LIMBAUGH) or won't go to my links or YELL at me or FLAG my posts. trying to nicely educate to other points of view is futile.

the time has come to REALLY DISCREDIT FOX NEWS, if not take them down legally...

i would be willing to work for that goal, to the best of my abilities. are there groups that are working on this?

does it help to send particularly RACIST or CRAZY-ASS (and several actually threatening-to-the-president) posts that i have copied to certain entities? if so, WHO? would sending stuff like that to KEITH or RACHEL help, or would that just end up nowhere?

rather than hearing it from their local Govt. KKK leader.

Several DUers have posted about how they asked establishments to please change the channel, or they would take their business elsewhere. I suppose you can't use that last threat at VA hospitals, but it definitely is worth speaking up about.
