each year (seasonal flu), primarily the elderly with concommitant chronic health problems that puts them at serious risk. --Not sure how that is comparable to 45,000 Americans dying needlessly for lack of health care access, which is both preventable and a national disgrace. The study is looking at deaths due to conditions that would have been treatable and thus, deaths that would very likely have been avoidable...
