Rachel Maddow & Sam Stein SLAM Condi Rice giving Obama advice about terrorism |
|
Damn - the first couple of minutes of this are hard - Rachel really brings it to Condi's incompetent, lying record.

Really makes the point that HOW DARE THEY who destroyed our national security be honored with the opportunity to give us any more advice. Why on earth would we trust such incompetents?
How dare those who read the Aug 6 2001 PDB Bin Laden Determined to Strike within the USA -- (video clip included) advise us on how to fight terrorism.
How dare those who declared the Taliban defeated (see clip of Condi saying that in 2002)-- advise us on how to "win" the war in Afghanistan.
She points out how shameful it is for the Project for a New American Century (PNAC) team, now rebranded as The Foreign Policy Initiative, who have not expressed any remorse for their war on false pretenses in Iraq or accepted any responsibility for their war crimes, to be quoted in our media as worthy advisers in any military matters.
It has been sickening to watch Cheeneey's Pro-Torture Tour. And now that he's in for back surgery, the PNAC/FPI team has sent Condi out to advise us on how to run our wars.
So glad Rachel said what I've been feeling for a long time.

I think the problems with people like Cheney, Condi, Kristol, PNAC and others could be solved by having more lab courses in college. But make the student write down and follow their own lab safety procedures. They would poison themselves or blow themselves up in chem lab, get crushed under some falling weight in physics lab, be turned into a human sacrifice when they gave a speech in language lab, etc.
If it worked well, young Republicans would start having high mortality rates in college, primarily due to their incompetence. There is nothing like learning by making mistakes, and these mistakes should occur LONG before these people reach some position of authority on the national stage. But not just little mistakes, I'm talking about ones that have some definite potential to weed out the stupid, doctrinaire, and orthodox of the conservatives. I'm sure they would be OK with the concept, as it would never occur to them to be natural selection in process, they would think of it as God calling their rising stars home in one of His mysterious ways.
