Asked if he would run for Congress again, Traficant replled:

TRAFICANT: I don't know yet. There's a lot of people that want me to run for Congress. You know, I was the number one target of the American- Israeli Public Affairs Committee and the number one target of the Justice Department since 1983, being the only American to ever defeat them pro se in a RICO trial. And I have big enemies.

So AIPAC is all powerful and got the DOJ to jail him. Classic antisemitic bilge.

I can't argue with his assertion of general corruptness. Without significant widespread corruption how do we explain financial deregulation by people who were here for the Bank failures of the 80's? How do we explain the corruption detailed on this POGO site http://www.contractormisconduct.org/ ? How do we explain the coincidence between huge campaign contributions and opposition to keeping Americans affordably healthy? How do we explain the last administration?

Just because he was convicted doesn't mean he's wrong.

Not to compare the two, but Gov. Siegelman of AL was convicted, and he clearly did nothing dishonest in the matter.
