I wish I hadn't rec'd this.

I love Sanders... and I agree with what he is saying.

But the sanctimonious 'change'-mocking crap makes me sick.

4. They did all 3 - Hillary's logo, Obama's logo and McCain's logo
Basically saying that our next presidential election will be between corporations.

5. Yes, but that still sends such a defeatist message.
I encounter too many people who think there is no point in getting involved in or even paying attention to politics, because "they're all the same."

It's a counterproductive, oversimplified message IMO.

20. On the contrary, it puts forth a message of urgency
That in order to have our form of government, WE THE PEOPLE have to get involved, to defeat "them, the corporations!

6. The removal of corporate influence in our government should be priority number 1!
As long as it isn't we all lose.

Thank you, Senator Sanders.

12. Bernie Sanders
and Dennis Kucinich are the only two Congress people that I
always agree with. I like to think they would be the same if
they were elected to a higher office or appointed to a cabinet
position.

26. I agree
If we could just have publicly financed elections, like we
need to, Sanders and Kucinich could walk away with it. As long
as money controls politics, we the people, don't stand a
chance.

13. ROME IS BURNING!!! We ARE Alone!! The ECONOMY Is Recovering...
Sez who???? Getting screwed, and thrown deeper and deeper down the slope!

What will THEY do when "we the people" can no longer afford to pay through the nose? Or am I wrong, does it not make sense that when people can't pay, they can't sell their goods, are will it just all go GLOBAL??

I know NOTHING anymore!!!

14. From what I could discern
from the G20 statements, America is considered a bad market
already, in which to sell goods. That is supposedly because of
tariffs etc... on foreign goods. If you notice the other
industrialized nations have a lot better "stuff"
than we have. Their internet and wireless products are way
ahead of what we have. I think we have already become one of
the third world markets when it comes to selling goods. Hell,
a "service economy" can't afford the good stuff...
America's only "claim to fame" is that we are
"armed to the teeth" and willing to attack any one
who opposes us. Thanks bush...Now President Obama has to fix
it quick or we will only go downhill from here.

17. Publicly funded elections
are the way, along with overturning the right of corporations of personhood. I donated my time to California's initiative in past elections for publicly funded elections. It failed miserably. People are so dumb.
Now that the supreme court (I have no respect for them after bush v gore)is considering letting corporations give unlimited funding to elections, I just lost my last smidgen of hope.
Also, I think requiring people to have health insurance is a gift to the industry, not to us.
Obama is a huge disappointment, and I hate his appointees.
There are no answers that I can see.

18. Peggy's right...
...the only way to even begin to get our 'representatives' to 'do the right thing' is to remove their excuse for accepting campaign contributions, that is, they don't pay for 'em. Public funding is only part of the process, the other is that the time and type of exposure allowable for campaigns needs to be severely curtailed. I think that Germany has a system that limits it to something like six weeks...that television exposure is provided by the network(s), that all vestiges of campaigns - signs and stuff - are removed immediately following the voting. Sure there will still be some of these folks that'll take bribes for 'doing the lobbiests' bidding, but at least they'll be easier to catch than if it's buried in millions of dollars of 'campaign' contributions. Wonder how long it'll take for these guys and gals to get the hell out of politics and back into stealing money the old fashioned way without benefit of middle-men?

19. All I know...
is, if we do not get a public option with health care, and corporations are not regulated with a lot of oversight, I will join Sanders' party and NOT participate in any more Democratic drives or financial causes. :grr: :nuke: :wtf:

corporate campaign funding out of our elections for once and for all!
