Chuck and his lovely wife Gena appear on Huckabee's show to prove how little the three of them know about anything. Gena talked to a woman from Russia, so she knows that nobody under government-run healthcare gets any treatment without waiting a year. Also, government run healthcare never offers dental or vision care. Chuck has spoken to some doctors from Europe, one of whom said he had to come to the US because he was sick of his patients having to wait 8 months for tests.

Well, your anecdotes have convinced me! Never mind that nobody in the US is even proposing "government-run healthcare" - I believe anything Chuck Norris tells me!

(Seriously, though, I hate when one or two non-specific, unverifiable anecdotes are used by people on either side of the debate.)

(Okay, but since we are using anecdotes, I have asked three doctors in recent months if they would ever transfer to the US system - I'm in Canada and I work in the health system here. The answer from all three was an unequivocal "no". They mentioned that they would hate to have to fight with a private insurance company to cover treatment they deemed necessary, and the fact that insurance premiums are insane, and the fact that they just don't believe that rich people deserve more/better care than poor people. So take that, Chuck Norris!)

how'd we get in Russia? We need to worry about the USA. Another point they made is they're more concerned about what the bill DOESN'T SAY. I don't consider that a good argument. It DOESN'T SAY anything about death panels, for instance, so that's why I'm not considering such a thing realistic.

I liked some of Chuck's movie/TV stuff, it was mildly entertaining, but he is a moron on politics. He was a Huckabee backer from Day One and I remember him showing up when Huckabee was being mentioned early in the campaign. Why is is that every one of these right-wing supporters shows up on Fox News. How come I never see them on CNN, MSNBC or any other station. Every time Fox tries to pass itself off as a news organization, I just think of some of the bubbleheads they parade thru each and every day. In addition to their blonde bimbos and the usual suspects like Dick Morris and Malkin, they rarely, if ever, have someone to present an opposing view. If they do, it usually a gang-up job with three righties and their guest they want to crucify. That is why I could never stand Alan Colmes. Nice guy but he had no chance to succeed against that noted windbag Hannity. I wish Fox would also stop bringing all these so-called experts on to talk about healthcare when they don't bring anything to the table except talking points from the RNC.
