The insurance companies will have a nice job lined up for him even if he is defeated. The problem with people like him and Kent Conrad--they have no consciences. They do what their corporate overlords demand of them; they craft harmful legislation with the sole intent of protecting profits for these companies. It's like they are perpetually brainwashed--soulless. There's no reaching corpocrats like them: months and months have already shown that.

Bing? I wonder what movie star his parents liked....
His story is not uncommon and a million different but equally sad and ridiculous stories can be found. That is why the Health Care Bill... with a public option... is a no brainer. Only in a Congress where Repugs still think they're in charge, and Dems wear pink tutus is it something complex and difficult.
It can easily be paid for too. Make corporations pay their taxes, tax at least the businesses owned by the churches (since they're telling people who to vote for these days) and stop building multi-million dollar weapons to protect us from the USSR. Get out of Iraq and Afghanistan and we might have some left over. Raise everybody's taxes .003%.
