1. It's a fine idea.
If corporations don't live up to their responsibilities, take away their articles of incorporation. It certainly can be done.

People like Madoff and Stanford and Erik Prince should have every asset confiscated for life. Let them beg on the street if they want to buy food.

4. It's meaningless unless the INDIVIDUALS who profitted are
required to disgorge their profits and more.

That would be, senior management, directors, and whoever else got a lot of money out of the activity, e.g., contractors owned by the foregoing.

It's not the corps. per se that are the problem; it's that they shield those who run them from from liability for looting and worse.

5. I can't imagine this changing, but I'd LOVE it!
Therein lies the answer to - why did we go to Iraq? Bush's buddies made so much money off Iraq, it didn't make sense not to go! The contractors are sticking it to us as bad as the health care industry, but we don't notice because we don't see a direct effect.
