Incredible research by the Rachel Maddow Team. Rachel plays some of the audio on a record Ronald Reagan released in the 1960s saying that the implementation of Medicare meant America would turn into a Socialist state. Fast forward to today and up to only a few months ago CONtemporary Republiturds were trying to persuade everyone that privatizing Medicare was a good idea. Now they are trying to portray themselves as the defenders of Medicare. I just hope Bernie Sanders is correct and this blatant hypocrisy won't get very far, apart from exposing themselves for everyone to see what humongous liars we all know they are .

This clip should be edited by Brave New Films and turned into a TV and/or web ad that goes viral.

4. You are so right.
The GOP base can be told ANYTHING, I mean anything, and they will believe it.

5. My 13 year old son
is preparing to read "1984." I hope that he will let
me discuss it with him (13 y.o. boys are so hard headed..lol).
I want to compare how the current, mainly R's, politicians,
use NEWSPEAK in most of their proposals. If you look at the
name of their bills (Patriot Act), you would think that they
are doing things to help the varied causes. Actually, it is
just the opposite. Almost every time, their legislation is
aimed at hurting the very thing (agency, cause, etc..) that
the name of their bill suggests will be strengthened. It
reached epidemic proportions under bush and it has showed no
signs of stopping. I think many people (esp. R's) just look at
the name of a proposal and think that the contents will
reflect the title. Please reinstate THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE and
let our citizens become informed once again.

8. Every bill and
every "conservative" think tank and organization has a misleading title. It is as if the entire function of the GOP has become the transmission of smoke screens and faulty information. This can't have a happy ending.

The fairness doctrine could at least be a stop gap measure to stem the tide. But President Obama dismisses the fairness doctrine. I can't understand why a Democrat would want to live in a world of unchallenged 24/7 RW sound bites.

9. Oh yeah, forgot to say.
What would we ever do without the likes of Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow?

I had Tweety on for one moment yesterday. In that single moment his well thought out editorial statement was "The American people want jobs, they aren't worried about health care reform." Liberal media? Right.

This bullshit is getting old.

6. Someone needs to interview the republicans and ask how they
define capitalism? And I agree with Tuborama this is a great clip-make it an ad.
