1. It aint no fun answering the dooor to four swat, three times.
two times at midnite. Never a charge. Lies to procede. The cop told me as he left, the reason why they thought I might have a girl in my crawlspace, is cuz I didnt let them in right away. They see no need for that old ratty bill of rights.

4. So, WHAT had you done to precipitate this kind of police "supervision"?
They though you might have had a girl in your crawlspace.

What's up with that?

Details, please. Lots of 'um would be great.

Thanks.

10. I took down a crooked cop/judge scam to reinterpret the vehicle code, IF you are
conspiracy minded. I got convicted of lane splitting. Most infractions are warriors from Camp Pendalton on leave. They get the ticket, and just pay, before they ship out. I stopped the gravy train. There are otehr factors, but not nearly as prominant.

15. Oooohhh. They don't like it when you tamper with their enrichment schemes. Don't you
love how the right-wing patriots scream about "support the troops" "god bless the troops", etc. etc., then you find out it's the superpatriots who are screwing over the troops?

What is "lane splitting"? Is it really about riding straddling the center line? I'm totally ignorant about this.

Thank you for the explanation, Gman2.

For your success in taking down the scammers, I THANK YOU. It's bad enough that we have criminals. The REAL TRAVESTY is crooked cops and judges.

3. Plus, once all those MPs and others who did the
"enhanced interrogations" get jobs as civilian cops, we will have thousands of men who are trained to torture and who think that it's legal on the police force. Hey, if you can torture someone captured in war, why not torture a criminal suspect?

5. This is a serious negative trend that's been going on for years in this country.
I've been railing against it for a long time and mostly the response has been shrugging shoulders. We ignore this at our own peril.

13. I know what you mean.
I have posted on this topic many times and people just shrug it off like it is no big deal.
We have been conditioned to accept a police state.

14. And that's on a website where the average user is already politically active and aware.
Unfortunately, I would have to say that the vast majority of the people in the town where I live couldn't care less. It's exactly as you said, we are being conditioned to accept a police state.

8. Right. And this happens all the time at a demonstration against the G20, I assume.
Or how about when conducting a raid on a high school?? Those kids were gonna pull AK's out of their lockers?

The type of situation in the video is rare. So why does every podunk police department in the U.S. need to train its force to cope with a military-style assault for every situation?

Here's an analogy: sometimes I get a call from a jobsite that requires that I drop everything and get there right away. Using the logic of our police I should be able to get my company to buy me a helicopter and keep it well-maintained because I might run into an emergency at work that requires a rapid response.

There's a lot more to the militarization of our police than a response to that shootout or even to the arming of criminal elements with military-style weaponry. It's about intimidation and force being used to scare citizens into submission.

9. When this kind of thing happens everyone will be moaning
about why the police were not prepared.

Anarchists busting up shops and lighting fires at the G20 had to be dealt with so as not to spark off a larger riot where people who had nothing to do with it end up getting hurt.

I'm not sure what you are referring to with the raid on a high school, but the cops would have had a reason to conduct any such raid.

16. There are times when you PREPARE like you're going into a firefight and there are
times when you don't need to do that. Of course, it's a lot more fun and macho to strap on every kind of weapon and protective gear known to mankind and go looking for a problem.

Nobody wants the police to be massacred by criminals with military hardware, but we also do not want to be put under the thumb of police who act like the Gestapo, which is what a lot of this stuff is.

Go back and look at the video. Police raiding a high school only to fine NOTHING. They apparently paid for it, but that was probably on the taxpayers' dime.

So having all of that heavy-duty riot gear on was why the cops in Pittsburgh had to tear-gas students in their dorms who were watching and doing nothing wrong? There are numerous examples of the police in Pittsburgh fucking with innocent people who were not breaking any laws. That is just police-state bullshit and has nothing to do with rioting protesters.

11. Posse Comitatus
Militarization of police is the government work-around of Posse Comitatus, the law that prevents the government from deploying the Army inside the US.
