1. I believe it was the tool developer they found, not the user.

2. Facebook needs to address their alerting system. Sounds like several DUers on FB tried
to alert on this poll, but you had to befriend the pollster and vote in it in order to alert. That's why it remained up for so long.

That process does not make sense.

3. No...I Reported the Poll to Facebook
There is an "Offensive" link to click on on the poll itself and I got a Facebook prompt that they would need to access my account and posts. I didn't care, I am on only because my friends talked me into it and the posting are silly; why I fell for it I don't know. But I did not have to vote or befriend the idiot who posted the poll. As for the 39 people who voted yes...I see some black SUV's in their future and very glad of it.

Can you imagine if someone had posted a poll about Bush that asked these questions, what the venomous reaction would have been from the right wing? It would have been 24/7 news.

6. Oh, that's good to know--you were able to report it without taking the poll.
I feel the same about FB. I joined for networking for my job, but it's turned into a nightmare combination of long lost relatives, people I haven't seen in years from college, friends of friends of friends. I can't stand it.

The rightwingers were going nuts when that movie Death of A President was released and won at the Toronto Film Festival and now they are all like silent on this issue. Amazing.

4. Secret Service needs to track down every last person who voted "YES",
and keep a close eye on them for the forseeable future.

5. they spoke to the poll-software creator and he knows the person who used it to create actual poll
I believe the Secret Service knows the actual individual who posted it and are aiming there, not at the software writer. He was contacted in regards to the user/operation of the software and likely to get information on the user who posted.

7. According to CNN the Secret Service is talking to the writer of poll
and not just developer of poll application.

10. And the freepers say "B-but... The Dems did the same thing to BOOOSH!"
Um, no they didn't.

Nobody has said Bush should be killed. We've said he should be arrested, put on trial & tossed into prison - but not killed.

When people said Bush wasn't a legitimate President IT WAS BECAUSE HE LOST THE ELECTION IN 2000, AND BECAUSE THERE WERE SERIOUS QUESTIONS LEFT UNANSWERED ABOUT 2004. Nobody disputes that Obama won in 2008.

And when people said Bush is a a Nazi IT WAS BECAUSE HE KILLED HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE INDISCRIMINATELY AND IMPRISONED INNOCENT PEOPLE WITHOUT CHARGES OR TRIALS not because they disagreed with one of his domestic policies.

The opposition to Obama is different in substance and in degree to the opposition to Bush.

13. LOL
First of all no one has determined the Politics of the poll poster and it obviously was not a GOP effort.

Second Your perspective is based on your world view and how you view Obama and Liberal policies.

Now on a serious note I like to remind people that it is hugely important how we structure progressive legislation because of how liberal it usually is.

I always apply a do no harm standard in that I say whatever legislation we enact, what will Sarah Palin be able to do with it if she were to become President in 2012.

If you don't take that view you are doomed to failure.

14. Do we want every proposal to be viewed
in the context of how it will affect Trig? :D

I do take your point, though. Unintended Consequences are usually serious.

15. Bush has shown us that it makes no difference....
When Sarah gets in there she will go ahead like W and do all sorts of illegal things to advance the GOP's cause.
Doesn't make sense to hold back worrying about what the next GOPPER will do.

16. No you misunderstand me.
not what the radical rightwinger will do when they get in there we can fight the fights like the right is fighing Healthcare reform against us now. Its when we get final legislation law in effect and then someone like Palin gets in there and uses Jesus to make her decisions for her.

Here is an example.

We have a final Health Refom bill with full single payer universal coverage run by the government.

First the rightwinger outlaws all medicine outside of state run healthcare.

Next the radical Rightwinger decides that this kind of control means that birth control is issued by the government therefore all pregnancy must be wanted because otherwise it is handled as patient non-compliance and not covered under any government medical and private abortions are outlawed under the first part.

Next up STD's patient non-compliance... and on and on turning everything good into evil to fit their nefarious conservative theocratical plans where laws are being interpreted by the ecclesiastical authorities instead of by the people.

Scary indeed.... We must think before we act.
