I added the parenthesis to the title because that's what Faux calls them, I prefer the term Undocumented Workers (UWs).

What I would like to know is, if the UWs were 'sent home', as the right wingers wish, what would happen to the economy of states that depend on them for the mostly menial agricultural and construction work that they do?

3. Menial to say the least...
They basically built my house, puts vegetables on my table, and make the very clothes I wear.

4. I agree with him. It would save money.
We should go for the practical solution to this problem.

6. Can't go home fast enough
If they did, a million or more employed Americans. More tax revenue. Fewer construction defect lawsuits. More people with auto insurance. less chance for ecoli lettuce. Fewer people living in three rooms. etc, etc, etc.
That old adage that they do the jobs that nobody else wants to is a bunch of crap when there are 1.5 million americans running out of unemployment benefits and would jump on those jobs.

7. Then factor in that they pay an estimated $9 billion a year into SS
That they will never draw benefits on. This is just one of the dirty little secrets of why lawmakers who rail about immigration reform never do anything about it.
