Dean points the finger at the ones in the pocket of the insurance industry.

Says he expects all Democrats to stand with their party on cloture.

Then get 51 votes for the plan.

Explains that reconciliation can be used if it is part of the budget. He says reconciliation can be used if Medicare is expanded.

He thinks the Democrats are stuck and nervous. Their constituents want it, but they have obligated to the insurance companies.

He corrects himself when he starts to use the term left wing, because he said most people want the plan.

1. He's always good with Rachel
She gives him time to talk, doesn't interrupt so much...

I have faith that the public option will pass, one way or another, and have an unexplainable confidence that Dr. Dean will in one way or another have a management post in the public option "new" department.

I trust him so much..

2. She's a good interviewer. Not rude or overbearing.

3. Dean keeps the reality working on what's possible - 3 good possibilities in that convo

I prefer the last of the three - where reconciliation basically becomes a means to pseudo-single payer. Whodathunkit!

4. He said he would hold feet to the fire.
I agree the last is the best option.
