had universal health care there would be alot less abortions. I imagine that a lot of abortions are do to poverty and lack of health care. There is prenatal care, birth, and after care expenses that are very expensive even with a pregnancy that has no complications. Plus lost time from work if you have job.

I don't know. Call me stupid. But if a woman did not have to worry about how to pay for child birth and care for her baby, then maybe that would tip the statistical scale in favor of fewer abortions.
