1. It was so hard watching this when it was first on. |
|
I couldn't get over how old, bloated, and unhealthy Richie Sambora looked. I felt sad. Jon looks great, though, and still has that old magic going on. Anyone know what's wrong with Sambora? He looks ill, and he's such a young man, too.

2. he's been through hell the past two years |
|
First the divorce from Heather.
Then he fell and broke his shoulder while on a break on their last tour.
Not to mention he recently lost his father to lung cancer after a long fight with it. I think that hit him the hardest. He went through a detox for alcohol last month, and has said that he is doing much better. He is getting a lot of support from the rest of the band.

3. I had no idea about all that stuff, |
|
except, of course his divorce from Heather. I'm sorry to hear all that, and hope he recovers 100% and soon.
Thanks for answering my question!

One of the many memorable acts in the concert. They made a new fan out of me.

5. I really appreciate that you posted this!! |

Thank You!!
I was watching the concert on NBC, with my surround sound cranked all the way up and then.... NBC interrupted this particular performance to do an interview and point out why they felt this concert really wouldn't change anything... "will it?" Argh!! I could hear him playing and singing but I couldn't watch the performance with all their lame interviews!
So, Thanks! :) Now I can enjoy one of my favorite songs and bands!
And did Pink Floyd ROCK or what!?! :woohoo: I have to find that video too! ;)

6. NBC's coverage sucked. |
|
I was really impressed with Bravo's while it was about an hour behind I think from MSN.Com... at least you got to see the entire performance of the acts. not just bits and pieces.
While I enjoyed Bon Jovi the most, I also loved Roger Waters (Pink Floyd). And the blues act in DC were great too, but I don't remember the name of the band. Sarah Brightman was another favorite too. But I'm strange and actually like opera. LOL
