Didn't you see her PLAYING GUITAR on one of her songs? And then putting it in front of a speaker so that it would make feedback noises? (I wonder why no guitarist has ever thought of doing that before.) I mean, she's become, like, a SERIOUS MUSICIAN now! And what could Melissa have possibly said that could top Madonna's, "If you want to save the planet, let me see you jump!" If she really DID have to sing for a living, she'd have starved to death decades ago, but that's beside the point!

Etheridge - whom I've been hot & cold for over the years - is the real deal. She just keeps getting better, and I watched her set with tears running down my cheeks. That's something Madonna never has and never will provoke.

For the record I knew Ms. Etheridge was a spectacular performer--and also a person conscience, but from the second she walked to center stage and stood there poised and waiting, I just knew we were all about to see a transcendant moment.

22. i heard the last half hour of randi's show--we were having a storm

and the reception was bad (i was in my car) so i'm gonna try to download her show from today.

randi sounded like she was crying at the end of the show. she played one of melissa's new songs--sounded like it was about pelosi/impeachment--and after that, i think randi said she was crying. she talked for another minute and the show was over. hopefully the archives caught the very end. white rose usually cuts her endings off.
