'We've paid enough for Iraq. We've paid enough for Afghanistan - it's time to come home.' Alan Grayson will not support a war tax as it is a vote for war. He says it is time for Congress to act to end the war if the President is unwilling to change his mind.

Asked if President Obama is leaving his base, Grayson said simply 'Yes'.

the president is losing popularity. if he is going to make unpopular decisions like this then he at least needs to create goodwill by making other more progressive decisions elsewhere, so we can see he is earnest and not just continuing the same old policies.

with this capitulation to the MIC. Does no one read history? LBJ was admired & won in a landslide. But after his VN War escalation he went into free fall and has never recovered to this day and has been reviled for his war policies despite progressive domestic programs which Obama can't fall back on since he doesn't appear to have any.

Obama sugarcoated the problems with the corrupt Karzai administration, and this year's disputed election, with a dismissive "although it was marred by fraud" it was "consistent with the constitution."
