1. I really HATE these people and I've tried to avoid that emotion
my entire life.

And this is why: most psych docs don't have the skill to distinguish between PTSD and "personality disorders". So, whoever came up with this dodge KNEW THAT and was most likely a doctor.

2. God this is awful.
When you think that our leaders couldn't sink any lower, this administration comes up with another way to scam the soldiers.

3. Thank You For Posting This!
I stopped watching TV Newscasts years ago in frustration with them. I've very glad to see that topics such as these are FINALLY being covered by ACB and other news media.

I can't even begin to put into words just how angry and how deeply hurt I feel over the treatment by the our government of our children who have fought and died in this immoral war. It is beyond shameful & IMMORAL. There have been only a small group of people who have benefited from this war, and this blatant disregard for the welfare of our young people fighting their dirty little war is criminal. I've written to my representative who has been a "Bush rubber stamper" the entire time, numerous times, and I get back replies of denial. With segments on TV like this one, maybe more people will write to her to the point that she can't push our demand aside any longer. I welcome the rest of the country to what many of us here have already known since Bush was first elected, that the Bush Administration is PURE EVIL and shouldn't be allowed to abuse their power for one second more.

I encourage everyone to write their representatives in the Congress demanding Impeachment of Cheney, Bush and the entire regime of evil b*st#rds that occupy the White House.

5. K + R
They screen the people before they become military. So how is it that suddenly the military has a huge number of personality disorders, but that's only known after they come back? PD's are pretty easy to tell. Either they are letting a lot of people with PD's go to war (yeah, right), or they are just throwing a diagnosis at someone to get them off vet benefits.

Remember the days when this country had some honor...there was the G.I bill and vets were taken care of.
I sooooo long for those days.

7. here's betting the next Timothy McVeigh(s) sprouts from the ranks
of these guys. Sane enough to get in the Army, go into combat, and re-enlist. Then just shit on? Scary part is they are trained in death and destruction, wonder how much damage a small band of them could do? Whatever path their discontent takes them, let's hope it's peaceful and directed at the right people/institutions.:wtf:

8. those damn pigs - they do a fucking COMBAT TOUR and they OWE $$
to the broken government that sent them there?!

This is the type of disgusting thing that happens when number crunchers look at lists of figures and fail to realize that they represent PEOPLE in PAIN. Bottom-line-fiscal quarter thinking SUCKS. It is so short-sighted and wrong, wrong, wrong.

This is what happens when you cut WEALTHY PEOPLE'S TAXES to go to war on the cheap, so no one has to feel like we are really at war.

And you know what? When the Democrats try to fix this mess they have been handed by these power-mad egomaniacs? We will be labeled the party of TAX, TAX, TAX.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!

How Specialist Town Lost His Benefits
Joshua Kors

It features the fellow who survived the exposion 2 ft above his head also seen in the ABC piece. More detail, and more outrage.

11. I think the whole nation should have to watch Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 911"
The republican supporters just might wake up and see how Bush and his band of criminal thugs have deceived our entire country. Not only has the criminals in "OUR" White House lied, but also how Fox news and other MSM have lied to us! What they have done to this Nation is unforgivable!! Our sons, daughters, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, friends, and neighbors have died and continue to die for their deceitful lies. I can't express the outrage I feel for this criminal administration! Since our spineless Congress will not do anything, I think it's time WE DO SOMETHING!! We have to tell these crooks that we don't believe their "BULLSHIT" anymore!! We should organize the BIGGEST DEMONSTRATION THIS COUNTRY HAS EVER SEEN AND MARCH STRAIGHT UP TO WHITE HOUSE!! This is OUR AMERICA....not Bush's and his band of crooked thugs! Anyone with me?

15. The Psychiatrists/Psychologists who are providing these diagnoses should
lose their licenses. Contact the American Psychiatric Association/Psychological Association to voice your concern.
Licensing is regulated by the state- Medical board for Psychiatrists, some other body for Psychologists- in California it's the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

16. "Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy." - Henry Kissinger
This the attitude our government has right now more than ever before. Policy wars are always wrong and those that serve in to one will be forever damaged because it is immoral. Defending our county when we are attacked by another "nation" is moral. Using our military to go after "terrorists" is improper. Hunting down terrorists is or should be a police action. Example: they didn't use our military to apprehend the first bombers of the trades buildings. This government is sh*ting on our military!

17. It's disgusting, shameful treatment of our soldiers.
I screamed at the TV when I saw this on
ABC's 'World News Tonight' and I'm screaming
now.

They should be ashamed of treating our soldiers,
who risk their lives, in this deceitful manner.

The higher ups who label them with this BS " personality disorder"
should be brought up on charges of treason-

YES-TREASON!

Those docs and military brass who are ripping off our soldiers,
taking away their rightfully earned benefits are treasonous criminals.

But what else is new?

The White House is full of them.

18. Makes me want to vomit!
This is how our administration "supports our troops?" Where is the country I grew up to respect and love? This current administration's version of the USA bears no resemblance to what I learned was the "land of the free and the home of the brave," "one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." :grr:

Compassionate conservatives- my ass. :puke:

23. According to The Nation article (see my link above)...
...if they are discharged under this provision before their enlistment term is up, they have to pay back the portion of their re-enlistment bonus for whatever time short of the full term they signed on for.

Just another unbelievable crock of W.

22. WARN ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY
The Military euphemistically calls this a 'Paragraph 5-13' and uses it to avoid paying benefits to our wounded soldiers returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. Please warn all your friends and family with children in the military! Please do NOT let them sign any documents even REMOTELY connected to a 'Paragraph 5-13'!! I have a friend in Austin, TX who had to spend a ton of money to compel the military to reinstate her benefits so that she wouldn't face a lifetime of horrendous medical bills to address the debilitating wounds she suffered in service to our country!!

The military/industrial corporate megalomaniacs are completely disrespecting us, fellow DUers. We are currently IN the beginnings of the revolution. Please recognize this and prepare accordingly.
