the chicago red squad and w clement stone made sure the panthers did`t have a chance in hell. everything turned to shit after the panthers were killed off by stone.

they shared information with the fbi on the coming and goings of panthers and the sds in the chicago land area. the squad was exposed and was "shut down" but everything is still in the fbi files.

3. Never knew Clement stone had a part in this

big Nixon backer though, so certainly not a big surprise if true ( not doubting you; just had never heard that). Same question as E Ferrari; was the red squad just Hanrahan's execution squad?

4. clement used the "vice lords" against the panthers.

the panthers stood against everything stone was doing on the south side. he really did`t like them targeting his insurance scam. he funded the vice lords to take on the panthers and the other gangs that backed the panthers. once the red squad killed the panther leadership the gangs splintered and went on to terrorize chicago.
