MSNBC The Rachel Maddow Show - 8 December 2009: Breaking News on 'Gang of 10' Senators who have proposed dropping public option for expanded Medicare to 55 and over. Senators have sent numbers to Congressional Budget Office.

Sanders says that it is not fair to say "ten senators locked in a room" are abandoning the public option, they "are looking at trade-offs." This bill is not a good bill, he says. I have always been for Medicare For All.

But that Medicare is the ONLY way to go as far as a best option.

Bernie helped diffuse my rage (just a little bit). I guess it is better to get something than nothing, but I hate the blue dog democrats. We need strong progressive candidates to challenge every one of these turn coat democrats in the primaries. I am also pissed that Obama hasn't threatened them behind the scenes.

If the democrats disappoint their base, they are fucked in 2010.
