Just received this in my inbox and thought it was worth sharing for a laugh. The video creator gives a shout out to Cenk, too...

Keep in mind that Sarah Palin has had OVER A YEAR to come up with an answer for why she's qualified to be president, and this is the best she could come up with. I did no editing on her answer — she really does sound that stupid. Here's a transcript of Palin's answer:

Bill O'Reilly: Let me be very bold and fresh again, do you believe that you are smart enough, incisive enough, intellectual enough to handle the most powerful job in the world?

Sarah Palin: I believe that I am because I have common sense and I have I believe the values that I think are reflective of so many other American values, and I believe that what Americans are seeking is not the elitism, the uhm, the ah, a kind of spineless, spinelessness that perhaps is made up for that with some kind of elite, Ivy league education and, and a fat resume that is based on anything but hard work and private sector, free enterprise principles. Americans are could be seeking something like that in positive change in their leadership, I'm not saying that that has to be me.

HT to Cenk Uygur and his great op-ed on Palin's stupidity (http://is.gd/5gBTE) for making me aware of this interview, which I hadn't seen.

2. Took the words right
out of my mouth.

I know women in my small hometown like Sarah, just as ignorant. So ignorant that they don't recognize how ignorant they are.

15. Hey now! That's an insult to good dirt everywhere.
At least dirt knows when to keep its mouth shut, and it doesn't claim to be presidential material!

4. Beauty contestants
Edited on Wed Dec-09-09 05:53 AM by TrollBuster9090
Well, Sarah Palin got her start as a Beauty Contest participant, and then got a job as a TV color announcer, so it's not surprising that she'd give beauty-contestant-esque answers to political questions.

But the question remains, why is she even dumber now than she was during the McCain/Palin campaign? I can only conclude it's because she no longer has the McCain campaign's gang of vulcans to write her cue cards for her. She's been CUT OFF from the Republican brain trust.

"Ooh, but look what they're doin' to Chicago. Winnipeg is winnin' over To-to-TORANA..."

At least, that should give her something to fall back on.

10. Language is thought.
Welcome to the mental world of Sarah Palin. She "thinks" exactly the way she talks.

Sarah has a victim's mentality combined with a big ego and a huge sense of entitlement. Her thinking is incoherent. The people who admire her are the same ones who admire velvet paintings of a clown with a single tear or Elvis - simple-minded country folk who just don't know any better. Truth is, I feel a little sorry for them.

16. Don't feel too sorry for them. They may be the people
who start the next "revolution" in this country. They may just become the very people we need to defend ourselves against.

11. Unfair Question
I'm not defending Sarah Palin here, but would any news person ask that same question of a man? Women in politics are often portrayed as Nurse Ratchet types or idiots. It's a dumb question and there's really no good response. How do you "prove" your intelligence in a thirty second soundbite when half the nation thinks you are a moron and the other half doesn't care about your intellectual capabilities? The question is idiotic in its presentation too. O'Reilly is not being "bold and fresh" because this question was raised during the campaign. O'Reilly even mentions the contradiction himself by saying "bold and fresh again"
It's not really bold and fresh if we've done it before, is it?

Why not ask her a real question about current world affairs to see if she's keeping up with things and understands what is happening rather than whether she thinks she is smart enough?

This is one of the funniest videos i've ever seen lol! She totally won me over with her sense of humor and charm. She's now qualified to be Palin's Surgeon General.

23. I'd vote for Miss Teen SC
High probability she's not as nutty and mean-spirited as Failin'; plus, she looks better in an evening gown...

(And yeah, I know she's not actually old enough to be president, but I still think she'd be more competent than Sarah!)

My God, Americans who continue thinking like this makes me want to leave this nation as quickly as possible. Jesus, this kind of thinking is just so frightening.
