I understand where Richardson is coming from.
A simple pledge not to take "healthcare" money specifically isn't the issue. Any unscrupulous candidate can find ways around anything, as can unscrupulous companies looking to advance a particular candidate.
As Richardson correctly points out, the answer isn't to ban one segment of the corporate-donor community, it's comprehensive campaign finance reform.
Criticizing Richardson for not supporting HR676 is a bit like criticizing someone for not supporting a bill making it illegal to beat your wife on Tuesday.
(PS: He's completely confused on the difference between "single payer" and "socialized medicine" though. The government doesn't "run" healthcare under Medicare.)

I would have thought he would be for universal health care. It does not seem that he is well educated in this matter.
