All they have are tactics. They don't have a plan. They cannot govern. They cannot fix any problems. All they can do is attack the people who challenge them with lies and smears.

9. And even as she accused Moore of lying... |
|
She used that tired lie about that "poll" where supposedly 9 out of 10 journalist give to Democrats.
Uhh, not quite.
Seems actually it's like out of 100,000 people who work in newsrooms (not all of them journalists), about 144 donate (Less then a third of 1%) and of that most give to Democrats. But really, who gets thier political news from the theatre critic at the New Yorker or the guy who does sports stats at the Boston Globe? And need I mention that it's not Journalists that act as gate keepers for what gets into the news?
It doesn't bode well for the right when they can't accuse somebody of lying without lying themselves.

There's nothing subjective in Moore's facts - they're facts, plain and simple. For CNN to "refute" them by simply making stuff up is astonishing.
Gupta's head should roll, as should everyone else involved in this utter bullshit. They are killing real people with this, and have abrogated their job as journalists.
I'm glad Arianna stuck to her guns.

I did catch one thing in the interview that needed the hypocrisy police. They were talking about Vitter, and Arianna said something to the effect that she didn't think we should drag politicians personal life through the muck. Hey, is it my imagination, or was she up there bustin' Clinton's balls and curved penis for ten years?
But she has returned from the dark side. I guess she isn't the only one who has started saying that, since it seems the Republican Party holds most of the perverts these days. All of a sudden they want to have private lives. They just don't seem to understand the concepts of hypocrisy, and double standards.

28. Welcome to DU! Yes. I find her an extremely elegant, attractive, |
|
articulate woman. I'm female myself so I look at her as more of a front-of-the-line person who has become a really terrific spokeswoman for the rest of us, from a pulpit much higher and more prominent than we have. I'm glad she's stepping up and mouthing off! She's OUR Zsa Zsa Gabor, only she's saying things that are of great consequence and extremely meaty. She's saying things that need to be said, and she's distinctive, so that makes her memorable. And if she is memorable, herself, what she says will also be memorable. And since it comes in a nice, attractive package, it will be received better and judged more favorably, also. She's gonna get attention because she's media-savvy, and thus, her message (which also happens to be OUR message more often than not) will get out there and reach people.
Sure glad she's come over to OUR side!

Freepers will be freepers - answer facts with personal attacks. "If you make a mistake in a 3 minutes report, you lose credibility" - especially when that 3 minutes report was meant to challenge someone else's credibility.

|
It is interesting, when Arianna brought up the doctor saying your child has shiny hair and a brain tumor, I had to laugh because Mary so clearly is a lovely child, but oh so damaged. Her arguments were straight line talking points. For such a sweet looking child to be aligned with forces that promote terror, torture and congressional abuse. For her to be in lock step with the forces that value selfishness over environment or peace. I bet she thinks she is serving Jesus. So sad, really.

|
How many reports has CNN done about the horrific state of our health care system? How many reports have they done on the plight of the 48 million people in this country who have no health insurance at all? How many reports have they done on the number of bankruptcies as a result of medical bills?
The first thing they do is run an inaccurate report attacking the one person in the country who is standing up for Americans by taking on the behemoth that is the insurance industry.
How dare they. They should all be ashamed of themselves. Worthless fecks that they are.
