"Echoing the words of Maldivian President Mohamed Nasheed (We will not die quietly!) and the African negotiator Ambassador Lumumba, (No to climate colonialism!) hundreds of youth created a loud and energetic “climate storm” today inside the Copenhagen climate talks at the UN. It was the largest demonstration at COP15 yet – and was just a taste of the storm to come. Youth from every continent clapped, snapped, and pounded their feet to make the sounds of a rainstorm in a representation of the typhoons and hurricanes that have ravaged communities around the world this year.

“'Negotiators are turning their backs on us and telling us to keep quiet. As a young person living in the Pacific, I know what it’s like to fear climate change,' said Subhashni Raj, a youth organizer from Fiji who spoke at the rally. 'I’m here to say that we will not die quietly.'”

1. "Take that, you republicon anti-life climate deniers" - Youth

Republicons are forever claiming to be pro-life. Hoo hah. Just more of their perpetual hypocrisy.

They are totalitarians into the culture of denial and death -- and these youths smartly put the lie to all the republicon reality-denial about climate.

2. The Maldives is going to sink - its like the polar bears

who gives a shit. Australia is going to go into meltdown, there will be no food production, similar for huge parts of Africa and almost all of south / central europe. Why, WHY, do people get fixated on irrelevant shit like polar bears and rising sea levels. Why, because this effects the rich. They holiday in Maldives, they have houses on the coast - the rest of the planet is going to starve or die of dehydration. Almost all of central asia - from china, north india, pakistan, all the stans rely on glacial melt water for cropping and drinking - this is going to end very soon and millions, upon millions, upon millions are going to drop dead.

Who gives a shit about the Maldives. They are STEALING the issues here.

But what is far, far worse is the "thunder storm" you have put up here. It makes me sick to my stomache, to see such well behaved people protesting so cleverly from a HONDA commercial of all the fcking things. The Amazon rain forest is going to burn and turn into a desert, the oceans are going to die, Europe will turn in sub-Saharan africa and at 6 degrees of warming the methane hydrates will expand, melt, rise from the ocean floor, ignite and create fire storms across north america - a hurricane of fire igniting from the ocean floor - now THATS A FCKING STORM - not this half arsed sickeningly sweet peace core happy smiling love in.

Millions are goign to die - and this is the best we can do ? This is the protest ot Copenhagen where i can GUARANTEE you fck all is going to be done, and anything that is done is so innefective it will probably only contribute to the problem.

I have read history, I have read about people dyeing for freedom, people being butchered as they stand up for even the most simple of human rights, people being disembowelled, quartered, flayed, an endless array of gruesome punishments are endured for the most simples of causes - and yet when the entire race, the entire planet is facing what could be the ultimate test all we can talk about is polar bears, our holiday resorts and fcking ridiculous simulations of HONDA commercials.

What is wrong with you people ???
